Food Seems to be One of the Most Frequent Displays of Grace

Another thing that reminds me of God's unwavering grace that results in my joy and admiration of his goodness is:

New Recipes!

We are blessed to receive food from my grandmother three times a week. Usually, we're able to get by with the left overs on the alternate days. Well, today, I felt like cooking something new. I had a pound of turkey that I wanted to use as well as some tomatoes, mushrooms, and bell peppers. I asked Sergio to bring home some lettuce, and I had some brown rice in the pantry.

First I sauteed the bell peppers for about 5 minutes until more tender than crispy. Then I added the diced tomatoes for one minute. I transferred that to a bowl and seasoned that with crushed red pepper. Then I sauteed the sliced up mushrooms until super tender and seasoned those with salt and pepper.

I grilled up the patties of ground turkey. All of this was happening while the brown rice was cooking. Then it was just an assembly game. We wrapped the burger in the lettuce as a healthier alternative to a bun.

Overall, great recipe. Health: Wife-approved. Taste: Husband-approved.
