I Hate Titling Things :)

So I apologize if my last post read more like a rant. I can be easily overwhelmed sometimes. Not often, but lately my guard has been down and that's dangerous.

This post doesn't have one concise purpose. So I guess it's kind of another rant. (I'm sorry!) But it's not an angry rant. :D (See? Happiness). It's really just a small update on the whole 15 in 3 thing.

Ok. So my gym time hasn't been too consistent this week, which always bums me out a bit. I had a few big things due this week. That translates into sacrificing workouts. Which is ok if it's only once in a while. I had a great work out this morning though. Ah! I'm so thankful for how good it feels to beat your body into submission. (Yeah! Take that, body!) While I was at the Body Pump class that I love, I noticed in the mirror that my waist look smaller. Hooray!! I have no idea why though. LOL! Like I said, this last week hasn't been so great for me, so how does that translate into a smaller waistline? Who cares?! I'm not going to ask anymore questions!

Last week, I debated cutting out dairy from my diet. I'm not becoming lactose intolerant or anything, but I've noticed that having too much dairy makes me feel sluggish and over all, "bleh." (When you're an English major, eloquence is right at your finger tips, right?) Anyway! I decided to try going dairy free for a week starting Monday. It was going pretty well until I accidentally ate a Fudgesicle like 2 hours later. So, my dairy-free experiment began on Tuesday. I can report that I'm LOVING how I'm feeling! I've been waking up about 30 min earlier without any problem or sleepiness. I feel like my energy is my own (as opposed to the purchased energy of caffeine). I feel more alert and less "bleh." I'm still taking my multivitamin which includes calcium and all that good stuff, but my body definitely doesn't miss the milk.

I don't exactly know how these feelings relate to dairy consumption, but like my mysteriously narrowing waistline, I'm not asking questions. I don't think I could go 100% dairy free. I know I just finished saying that my body doesn't miss the milk, but it has only been three days. I don't think my body will ever miss milk. I know my brain will. It already does. I love cheese too much. For coffee, I have a non-dairy creamer, almond milk, and rice milk to choose from. (I'm allergic to anything with high soy-content so soy milk is out of the question). But, realistically speaking, there's no way I can completely cut dairy out of my life entirely. Not gonna happen. So, I will have to figure out what exactly my diet will look like if I make this mostly-dairy-free thing a lifestyle choice.
